Dear OceanAir Members, 

As we step into a new year, I want to take a moment to share my appreciation for your continued trust and support. The first few months of 2026 have brought steady momentum, and we are grateful for the opportunity to continue serving you. While every new year brings its own set of changes and opportunities, one thing remains the same—our commitment to providing you with a dependable, member‑focused banking experience. 

As we enter the spring season, a time often associated with renewal and fresh beginnings; we’re looking forward to what the months ahead may bring. We continue to explore ways to enhance your experience, strengthen our community connection, and improve the services you rely on every day. Our team is always evaluating opportunities to make banking more convenient, accessible, and supportive of your financial goals. 

One update I’m pleased to share that construction for the upcoming Dunkin’ addition at our Oxnard branch is expected to begin this month. While the process will take time, we’re excited for the unique experience it will bring to our members in the future—combining everyday banking with the convenience of a fresh cup of coffee. 

Beyond branch updates, we are continually looking at areas where we can innovate and refine our services. As we move into Q2, our focus remains on thoughtful improvement and ensuring that we continue to meet the evolving needs of our membership.

Board of Directors Announcement

The Nominating Committee has determined that the following candidates are qualified and eligible for installation to the Board of Directors: Timur Taluy, Frank Castro, Kevin Jaskola. Since there is a qualified candidate to fill each Board vacancy for the upcoming term, no nominations from the floor will be permitted during the Annual Meeting. 

However, if a member wishes to be considered at this time, a Petition must be submitted to the Credit Union. The deadline for receipt of a Petition for consideration as an additional Director Nominee is May 1, 2026. Please contact a member of the Nominating Committee via email at [email protected] for more information, including Petition requirements. 

If there are no additional qualified candidates from the Petition process, there will not be an election, and the Slate of Candidates as stated above will be installed by general consent at the Annual Member Meeting scheduled for June 25, 2026, at 5:00 PM in the Oxnard Office on the 2nd floor.

Community Impact

In February, our team came together to share some Valentine’s Day love with our senior community! We spent the morning signing cards and delivering them—along with beautiful flowers—to our friends at The Vistas at Oxnard Senior Living. 

A special thanks to The Vistas for welcoming us, and to our talented member Louie from 805 Floral for providing the gorgeous blooms that made the visit even more meaningful. Supporting local small businesses, especially those owned by our members, is an important part of who we are, and we’re grateful for partners who help us spread kindness in such a beautiful way. 

Seeing smiles on their faces was a wonderful reminder of just how powerful small acts of love can be.
