Once enrolled, your transactions are rounded up to the nearest dollar. That change goes into your chosen OceanAir savings account and/or donated to your favorite charity.

OceanAir Matches Donations up to $3000 to Ventura County Community Foundation

Until March 31st, 2025, OceanAir will be matching all donations made to Ventura County Community Foundation up to $3000!

The Ventura County Community Foundation is dedicated to strengthening our community through education scholarships, nonprofit support, and vital resource connections. In response to the devastating Mountain Fire, the Foundation’s Ventura County Wildfire Relief and Recovery Fund is providing immediate and long-term assistance to families, farmworkers, and animals in need, offering emergency housing, financial aid, and veterinary care. Additionally, through initiatives like The Isabella Project, the Foundation is expanding access to high-quality early childhood education, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to succeed.

What is the Round Up Program?

When enrolled, your transactions are rounded up to the nearest dollar. That change goes into your chosen OceanAir savings account.

Example: You pay $5.50 for a cup of coffee. Once your transaction is posted to your checking account, the additional change rounded up to the nearest dollar, in this case the $0.50, will be inserted into your OceanAir savings account or donated to the charity of your choice. This will be based off of your preferences that you chose at the time of your enrollment.

Preferences can be changed at any time.

When is the change transferred?

The rounded-up change (to the nearest dollar of each transaction) will be transferred to either your OceanAir savings account, a charity, or both, based on your preferences, within 24 hours.

Our list of charities and causes that you have the opportunity to support is available to you within online banking and mobile banking.

You can submit your interest to join OceanAir’s Pennies With A Purpose Donation List by visiting this clickable link and creating a profile. Your profile will then be reviewed and a representative will be in contact with you.

Pennies with a Purpose Program Terms:

To participate in the Round Up Savings Program, you must be a member of OceanAir Federal Credit Union in good standing and enrolled in Online Banking or Mobile Banking. When you enroll, any eligible debit card transaction from your enrolled Checking Account will be rounded up to the nearest whole dollar, with the excess amount transferred to your Savings Account. If the roundup amount isn’t a whole number, the difference will be added to your savings.

If you receive a new debit card due to loss, theft, or reissue, your participation will continue without needing to re-enroll. On days when your checking account lacks sufficient funds, no transfers will occur, but they will resume once funds are available.

Eligible transactions may change without notice, and other restrictions apply. ACH, ATM, or check transactions are not eligible. Savings will depend on the number and amount of your debit card purchases. We may cancel the program at any time.

Ventura County Community Foundation Match

OceanAir Federal Credit Union will match donations made to the Ventura County Wildfire Relief and Recovery Fund and The Isabella Project from March 1, 2025, through March 31, 2025, up to a total of $3,000. Donations received after March 31, 2025, will not be matched. All donations will be distributed to OceanAir’s charitable partner, Ventura County Community Foundation. Ventura County Community Foundation is a 501(c)3 charitable organization. Please consult your tax advisor to determine whether your donation is tax deductible in whole or in part.
