Card & Account Impact

Will I receive a new credit card?

Yes. To support the upgraded system and improve account security, you’ve been issued a new credit card with a different number and possibly an updated design if you did not have an OceanAir branded credit card previously. Your card should have arrived the week of October 5th, 2025, if not prior.

Why am I receiving a new card?

Your credit card is moving fully into OceanAir Online and Mobile Banking. That means your card details, transactions, and payments will now appear right alongside your other accounts. No more jumping to separate sites. With that, you also will be able to make real-time payments, it’s faster, simpler, and all in one place.

Do I need to activate my new card?

Absolutely. Once your new card arrives in the mail, you’ll receive included instructions to activate it. You may activate it right away. You may begin using it on October 10, 2025. Your old card will no longer work after October 9, 2025. 

Will this affect my current balance or account history?

No, your balance and transaction history will carry over. The new card simply replaces your existing one within the same account.

Why is the rewards program changing?  

We’re upgrading our credit card rewards system to offer greater value, more flexibility, and new ways to earn and redeem points. This change reflects our commitment to delivering better benefits for our members. 

When will the new rewards program take effect?  

The updated program will launch on October 10, 2025. You’ll receive more details, including a breakdown of benefits, via email before that date. 

Actions Members Need to Take

Do I need to re-set up autopay or scheduled payments?

Yes. If you have any recurring payments linked to your old credit card, you’ll need to re-enter your new card number with those providers. 

Do I need to reconnect my card to my digital wallets? (Apple Pay, Google Pay, etc.)

Once your new card is activated, you’ll need to remove your old card and add the new one.

  • Platinum Visa Cards: We’re seeing unexpected delays when adding these cards to digital wallets like Apple Pay or Google Pay. Our team is actively working to resolve this.
  • Rewards Visa Cards: Available for digital wallet set up on October 27.
Trouble adding your new card to payment apps or digital wallet?

Some members may experience delays when trying to add their new credit card to payment apps like Venmo or PayPal. This is part of a normal update process that occurs when new cards are issued, and unfortunately, it may take several days before your card is fully recognized by these services.

We’re working to help expedite these updates wherever possible, and we apologize for the inconvenience. If your card doesn’t work right away, we recommend trying again periodically. We’ll continue to share any updates as we receive them.

We’re also aware of issues related to digital wallet registration:

  • Platinum Visa Cards: We’re seeing unexpected delays when adding these cards to digital wallets like Apple Pay or Google Pay. Our team is actively working to resolve this.
  • Rewards Visa Cards: Available for digital wallet set up on October 27.

Are there changes to how rewards are earned?

Yes. The new structure may include updated categories for earning points, promotional multipliers, and new redemption options. Please visit oceanair.org/rewards-overview/ to see our point system breakdown.

Rewards Transition Details

Is there a period of time where points will not be earned?

From September 23 to October 9, 2025, no rewards will be accrued. To thank members for their patience, every rewards cardholder will receive a bonus of 1,000 points ($10 value).

When does the new program begin?

Starting October 10, 2025, members will begin earning points under our new program, powered by ampliFI. Points will accrue immediately. All eligible purchases from October 10 onward will earn points.

What happens to my existing rewards balance?

Your current cash-back rewards was paid out as a statement credit on September 23, 2025.  

What if I still want to earn cash back?

You can. You’ll earn points for your everyday shopping, but those points can be redeemed for cash-back within your online or mobile banking platform.  

Can I opt-out of the new program?

The updated rewards program is automatically applied to all Epic Rewards credit card accounts.
